Fishing

A fisherman holding up a Carp

Herefordshire is infamous for fishing especially with Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer from the BBC 2 Gone Fishing series as Bob’s favourite river is the Wye. Near Upperfields Farm there are two rivers to fish, the River Wye and Monnow. Please note a licence is required to fish on these rivers which can be obtained from a any local fishing shops.

We are also lucky to have a neighbouring farm which offers two fishing lakes – please see below.

Trippenkennett Farm

Nested in 5 acres of quiet countryside, Trippenkennett Farms has two fishing lakes opened in 2011 and offer pleasure and specimen angling with fish in excellent condition. They are wheelchair accessible and perfect for experienced, novice, or junior anglers. No pre-booking needed for day tickets.
